Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
1. Call to Order/Roll Call.
The meeting was called to order at 7:11 p.m.
Roll call was taken by the Town Secretary.
Council present included: Mayor Charles Niswanger, Mayor Pro-Tem David Bristol, Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern
Lisa Dritschler, Dave Turley, Kevin Drown, and Mike Wadsworth.
Commissioners present included: Jessica Arce, Marcus Ruark, George Dupont, Reno Jones, Mark DeMattia,
and Ronnie Gallup.
Staff present included: Douglas Mousel, Interim Town Manager; Hulon Webb, Director of Development
Services; Chris Copple, Development and Parks Planner; and Matthew Denton, Town Secretary.
2. Discuss the zoning, development, and design standards of the Old Town Core District designation
of the Town's Future Land Use Plan.
Chris Copple, Development and Parks Planner, gave council and the commission background information on
this item.
Council and the commission discussed the ramifications of rezoning property without the consent of the
property owners. Council and the commission also discussed the area to be considered for rezoning.
Council and the commission instructed staff to move forward with a map presented by Doug Mousel, Interim
Town Manager. Council and the commission instructed staff to schedule a joint work session and present staff
recommendations for land use and design standards.
3. Adjourn
Motioned by Turley, seconded by Bristol to adjourn. Motion approved 6-0.
Meeting adjourned at 9:17 p.m.
