16-63 - R TOWN OF PROSPER, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 16-63 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PROSPER, TEXAS, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE 2016 TAX ROLL; RESOLVING OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 26.09(e) of the Texas Property Tax Code requires the Town Council to approve the Tax Roll; and WHEREAS, the Town received notification from the Collin County Tax Assessor Collector as to the Tax Roll jurisdiction (for properties located in the Town's corporate limits in both Collin County and Denton County) summary as of October 1, 2016, and WHEREAS, a summary statement of said 2016 Tax Roll is attached hereto as Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PROSPER, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1 All matters stated in the preamble of this Resolution are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this Resolution as if copied in their entirety. SECTION 2 The Town Council of the Town of Prosper, Texas, does hereby accept and approve the 2016 Tax Roll as submitted by the Collin County Tax Assessor Collector. SECTION 3 The attached Exhibit A constitutes the official Town of Prosper 2016 Tax Roll, containing a tax levy of$13,689,920.03. SECTION 4 This Resolution is effective on the date of passage by the Town Council.
