MINUTES
Special Meeting of the Prosper Town Council
Town of Prosper Municipal Chambers
108 W. Broadway, Prosper, Texas
Monday, May 17, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m.
Roll call was taken by Matthew Denton, Town Secretary.
Council present included: Mayor Ray Smith, Deputy Mayor Pro -Tem Kenneth Dugger, Meigs Miller,
Dannv Wilson, and Jason Dixon.
Staff present included: Mike Land, Town Manager, Karen Gill, Assistant to the Town Manager; Amy
Lightfoot, Court Clerk, Matthew Garrett, Finance Director, and Matthew Denton, Town Secretary.
2. Consider and act upon an ordinance to receive and accept as true and correct the Canvassed
voting results for the General and Special Elections held on May 8, 2010 as presented by the
Town Secretary and hereby declare the results of the election be set forth in an ordinance and
that said ordinance should be adopted. (MD)
Motioned by Deputy Mayor Pro -Tem Dugger, seconded Councilmember Miller to accept the results of the
election to be set forth in an ordinance and that said ordinance should be adopted.
Motion approved -0.
3. Administer Oath and Issuance of Certificate of Election to Elected Councilmembers. (MD)
Matthew Denton, Town Secretary, administer the Oath of Office and Certificate of Election to newly elected
councilmembers Ray Smith, Meigs Miller, and Jason Dixon.
4. Adjourn.
Motioned by Deputy Mayor Pro -Tem Dugger, seconded by Councilmember Wilson to adjourn.
Motion approved 6-1.
Mayor Smith adjourned the meeting at 6:09 p.m.
