NO.DESCRIPTION QTY UNIT
•Why Not Recommend Rebidding with Fishtrap/Teel Signal
•Potential Savings?
•Structural steel costs are not large enough to warrant economy of scale discounts
•Construction costs continue to increase
•Timing
•Lead time of 18 to 21 weeks for pole manufacturing and powder coating
•Recent construction timing of TxDOT signals longer than expected
•Do not want to risk signal not being in service by August 2020.
Moving Forward
•Recommend Pre-Ordering Materials
•Proposed CIP 2019-2020

thoroughfare that will be accessed by a vehicle stopped on the side street.
(1) These calculations assume a median width equivalent to one travel lane. If the median is wider than
a travel lane, add 30 feet of sight distance for every 12 feet of additional median width.
(2) L can be 150 feet with approval by the Town Engineer or his/her designee.
