•Description
The purpose of this purchase is to enhance the cleaning
and sewer camera work on the wastewater system.The
Vac -Truck will provide staff with the ability to effectively
clean manholes and lift stations and to remove and
transport wastewater.
Additionally,staff will have the ability to uncover
sections of piping easily,resulting in quicker repair times
on larger jobsites.

Budget Impact
This purchase is an approved FY2017-2018
supplemental request for $370,000.00. The purchase
will be made through a Texas Local Government
Purchasing Cooperative online purchasing system,
BuyBoard, satisfying all competitive bidding
requirements.
The purchase price for the Vac-Truck is $333,337.65,
and will be funded from Public Works Wastewater
Capital Expenditure –Vehicles (200-6160-50-03).

operations.Currently,all Public Works crews are rotating
the use of one dump truck.This is creating delays in
response times and the cleaning of job sites.An
additional dump truck is required to maintain work load
and appropriate response times.
