In 2014, projected 66 baseball teams and 15 softball teams. Based on projections, all game fields being utilized to their maximum capacity by 2015 and practice fields by 2016. o PASO (soccer) presented statistics on projection of 1,800 players by 2014. (TE) “a place where everyone matters” Town of Prosper “a place where everyone matters” Animal Control Ordinance (Proposed) • Updates definitions, including the definition of “public nuisance”. •Prohibits any person from interfering with an animal control officer while performing job duties. • Updates sanitary standards. • Includes additional restrictions on the restraint of animals. • Updates the procedures regarding a dangerous animal. • Requires all dogs (including guard dogs), cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated for rabies every three years.Rabies vaccinations will serve as the animal’s registration. •Updates impoundment procedures. • Updates regulations regarding the care and humane treatment of animals.Includes prohibiting animal fighting, the coloring of animals, the selling of certain animals, the abuse of animals, etc. Town of Prosper “a place where everyone matters” Animal Control Ordinance (Proposed) • Prohibits any person to keep, own, possess, confine, care for, and/or sell any prohibited (wild) animal in town. •Provides for the keeping of livestock.Prohibits any person to keep livestock on any premises if the overall area is less than 1/3 acre for each livestock kept or to keep more than can be cared for under sanitary conditions and not create a public nuisance. •Regulates the keeping of fowl, rabbits, and guinea pigs.Includes a maximum of 12 rabbits, guinea pigs, other rodents, or combination thereof. • Prohibits roosters except on properties with an Agricultural property tax exemption. • Provides for a maximum of 12 fowl in an enclosure unless located on a property with an Agricultural property tax exemption. • Regulates the keeping of bees. • Prohibits the sale of animals on public property or in a parking lot. Town of Prosper “a place where everyone matters” Animal Control Ordinance (Existing) • Provides for rabies control, including all dogs and cats in Town limits. Dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies every year. Rabies tags must be affixed to a collar or harness. • Provides for the registration of dogs (including guard dogs) and cats with Animal Control, which includes a fee. • Provides for the adoption of a dog or cat from the animal shelter. • Provides for quarantine when an animal has bitten a human. • Provides for nuisances, including continuous barking, unsanitary conditions and/or enclosures, and persistent supervision laxness of a cat. • Provides control of vicious animals running at large, which can be impounded, destroyed, or ordered to be removed from Town limits. Town of Prosper “a place where everyone matters” Animal Control Ordinance (Existing) • Prohibits the selling or bartering of baby chickens, ducklings, or other fowl. • Prohibits the coloring, dyeing, or staining of rabbits, chickens, ducklings or other fowl. • Prohibits a dog or cat running at large. • Prohibits any person to keep any swine within Town limits, except for any swine kept in the custody of Prosper Independent School District. • Prohibits any person to keep, own, possess, confine, care for, and/or sell any wild animal in town.
