4. New Resident Letter [Discuss/Decide]
This item was not discussed.
5. New Resident Mixer [Discuss/Decide]
The consensus of the Committee is the New Resident Mixer will begin as a bi-
annual event. The mixer will be held in the Town Hall south parking lot and south
lawn and will launch in September 2022. The event will be similar to an ice cream
social with either an ice cream or Kona Ice truck. The members proposed
including entertainment such as inviting a Prosper ISD band to perform, renting a
bounce house and having a fire and police presence. Town representatives and
guests may include the EDC Director, school board members, Council, and HOA
board members. Each household will receive a swag bag, including Town and
vendor items.
The Committee members agreed that next steps include briefing the Council on
the proposal and receiving feedback and direction.
6. Discussion of Recent and Future Events [Inform/Discuss]
Rodolfo Sierra and Councilmember Marcus Ray attended the Fishing Derby on
February 19. The consensus was that it was a well -attended event with over 200
fish caught. Over by the western pavilion, Rodolfo saw children using the grass
as a slide and a few fell in the water. It was apparent that the location and time
affected the overall experience.
The Committee discussed the upcoming events:
Mayor's Fitness Challenge: Now — April 18
• US 380 Bypass Opposition public meeting: March 22 - April 6
7. CEC "Top 3" [Discuss/Decide]
