She Prosper City Council met in regular session November 13 1979 at 7:00 pm
in the city office with the following present: Mayor, R. L'. foyer- Councilmey
Vera Claryi Donald Reneau, Dan Christie, Grady Smothermon and Dan Christie.
Also present were M. P. Bridges, V. C. Spradley =0 Mr. T. 6. Feat and Mr. &
Mrs. Dave Dodson.
The Mayor opened the meeting and asked for reading of the minutes of the previous
meeting which were approved as read.
Balances in the various accounts as of Nov. 13 were read by the Mayor. A list of
checks written during the month of October were attached to the agenda for questions
or comments.
Regarding up -dating of the city map, the secretary was asked to obtain an estimate
as to the cost.
The Statement of Intent to Change Residential and Commercial Gas Cost Adjustment
Service chagges by Lone Star Gas Company was made known to the council. No action
w as t ak en.
Vera Clary moved that City of Prosper cast it's vote for Mr. Sam Roach for a
position on the board of directors of the Central Tax Appraisal Board. Motion
seconded by Dan Christie and carried by unanimous vote.
Mr. and Mrs. Dodson were present to discuss with the council the probality of
the city purchasing their water system. A price of $130,000.00 was quoted. There
followed a discussUn of the proposal but no action was taken. I!
Mr. T. L. Head espressed grieviances concerning the arrangements made for trash !_
pick-up. , This matter was one to be resolved between himself and Dan Christie.
Don Reneau ca].'led attention to the Zoning regulations and the enforcement of same.
The council memhers were asked to re -read the book of which all member of the council
have a copy.
Don neneau mentioned the need of and plans by the fire department to have gravel
spread in front of the station. Vera Clary moved -that the city pay for the gravel.
Motion seconded by Dan Christie and carried by unanimous vote.
There having been so many requests for re -reading of water meters, V. C. Spradly
expressed his opinion that a charge for doing so be made. No action taken.
There Bing no further business, the meeting adjourned.
