03.08.1977 Town Council Minutes191 March 9, 1977 The Prosper City Council met in regular session March 8th, 1977 at 7:00 pm in the city office. The following members were present: Mayors Koy ''kelton, Councilmen Rxvkv�&tcl-�,ow Z=, T. A., Bailey, Morris: Jackson, Danny ebb and Vera Clary. Also present were M. P. Bridges, city secretary, Cecil"Norris, Director of Public Works, Russell L. Betts, City Engineer, Jaunice Stanton, reporter and Johnny Johnsonp and Danny Christie. The Mayor called the meeting to order and asked for reading of the minutes of the previous meeting. A motion was made by Danny Webb, seconded by Vera Clary to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried by mnvwkmwu vote with ;_-UC_ members present. The financial report and list of checks having been written since the last council meeting was given in printed form to each present. Russell Betts; showed plans for the wastewater treatment plant and stated that he would present same to Texas Water Quality Board in Austin the latter part of March and if the plans were accepted, the City would be ready to submit bids for construction. Johnny Johnson was present to discuss; with the council some repairs needed on lower 5th street* Danny Christie discussed with the council annexation of 16 acres adjoining the 25 acre plot which had been accepted by the council Feb. 10, 1976, A motion Vr s made by Danny LJebb, seconded by T. A. Bailey to accept the additional 19 acres for annexation. Motion carried by vote of three members of council. The property is known as Hickory Creek, 41■618 acres, John R. Tunney Survey, Abstract No. 916* and the legal description has been given to the city attorney, Stan McWilliams, for the purpose of writing an annexation ordinance which will be read by the council... April 12p Mr. Christie stated that he will request only those services from the city of Prosper which are normally furnished, such as maintenance of water lines and streets and trash pick up service. Installation of water lines and construction of streets are to be -the responsibility of Mr. Christie as the property owner. The city has not agreed to sewer service. It was stated on the agenda the council should meet April 5th :for the purpose of canvassing the election returns. There being no further business, a motion wns; made by T. A.
