03.10.1969 Town Council Minutes95 MINUTES Town of Prosper March 10, 1969 Members present were C.G.Hays, mayor; Lee Gilmer and C.E.Bell and Wallace Vickers aldermen. The minutes of the council meeting held Feb.10, 1969 were read and approved. The matter was discussed inregard to water and sewer connect fee for the Elmer Templin wash rack and rent house. The proposition of salary adjustment for the Water Works Supt. was heard. Mr.C.L.Getcher offered to continue this position along with other responsibilities as further outlined for the amount of$425.00 per month. The general duties as discussed were; To continue as Water and Sewer 8upt.'and to devote his other time for five days to the maintenance of streets, and hauling the waste material from residence pickup twice a month, to furnish his own pickup for these duties with gas for this pickup to be furnished by him with the exception of when being used for waste pickup and on out of town trips on city business. It was generally discussed the duties would extend to all areas of city business. Mayor Hays ask that the figure be $400.00 per month for the above and this was agreed to by C.L.Gotchsr. C.E.Bell made a motion seconded by Lee Gilmer that the above proposal as agreed upon by both the City and Mr.Gotcher be accepted , the motion was carried with the three members present voting for. It is hereby refered to in these minutes as to the resolution passed at the council meeting of July 8, 1968 wherein the council authorized the preparationrof a waste disposal ordinance by the City Attorney. It was discussed that this ordinance being pertenant to the change in waste pickup procedure that at this time the mayor proceed with the action as set out on July 8, 1968. A motion was made and seconded that the City pay the premium on the accident insurance policy for the fire department, the motion was seconded and carried. Aottion was made by C.E.Bell and seconded by Lee Gilmer that the City pay $10.00 per month to Eugene Stone for the use of dump ground two miles west of Prosper on the Sandra Pope Moore farm, this motion was carried. The question of putting some rock on the west portion of 7th St. was discussed and, action delayed untill the ditch clean out work and drainage could be done at the R.L.Dalton drive and open ditch.
