11.05.1962 Town Council MinutesM The Town of Prosper, Prosper, Colli n County, Texas. The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Prosper met in called wession at the Prosper State Bank Bldg. , in Prosper, Texas, on Monday, November 5th, 1962, at 7. 00 o'clock P. M. The following were present: U. N. Clary, Roy Skelton, C. E. Bell, Abesent, None. Mayor. Commissioner Commissioner The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. The deatiof our Secretary, Mr. C. W. Harper, on Tuesday, October 30th, 1962, was called to the attention of the Commission. Mr. Skelton nominated Mr. Ralph C. Boyer to be Secretary for) the unexpired term of Mr. Harper.. There being no other nvrninations Mr. Boyer was appointed Secretary by unanimous vote of all present. The matter f st eet m rgveXnents was raised, and a suggestion was made that the Clommissioners interview a number of citizens, regarding a one-shot topping on the present black -topped streets, it being apparenttthat there was no.hope at present of getting a unanimous agreemnent on any of our streets, for better paving. The Commissioners agreed to do this. We were next visited by Mr. W. H. Moseley, Superintendent of the Prosper Schools, with all seven members of the Board of Trustees of the Prosper Independent School Dis- trict, headed by the president, Mr. Paul Gilliland. The School Board asked that the Commission- cooperate with them in building ai-Omaintaining a watera.nd sewer line to the site of the new school plant, that is to be built on the East end of the old Bob Mitchell farm, now owned by Roy Skelton. After a full and free discussion it was agreed that connection would be made with the present water and sewer lines, after the territory had been made a part of the Town, and that the lines would be laid either in streets or under proper ease - ments. Mr. Skelton was appointed to confer with Attorney Alex Orr, in company with Mr. Moseley, to obtain all proper in- struments to carty out the agreement, and report back to the Corn Mission. All warrants, issued since the last meeting, were duly approved. r --------------------------- Mayor. Secretary.
