02.16.1961 Town Council MinutesnIJ THE 'TOWN OF PROSPER PROSPER,- TEXAS The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Prosper met in called sesssion, at the Prosper State Bank Bldg. , in Prosper, Texas, with the following present February 16th, 1961 U. N. Clary, Roy Skelton, D. C: Reece, Mayor Commissioner Commissioner Aboatit, None. The meetflng was called to order by -the Mayor, U. N. Clary. Upon motion of Com. Skelton, seconded by Com. Reece, the purchase of election boxes and supplies was approved. Upon motion, duly seconded, the salaries of all officers to be elected at the April 4th, 1961 election, was fixed as follows For Mayor, no salary. For Commsission er, no salary. Upon motion of Commissioner Skelton, seconded by Commission er Reece, an OrdinNce, entitled "An PArdinance Prescr- ibing the Proceedure for Candidates to file for Mayor, or Commissioner and other offices for the City of Prosper, Texas Providing for Election Officers, place and manner of holding City Elections and providing for Notice" was duly approved,byyunanimouse vote of all present, and it was ordered filed in the File of Ordiannces, under date of February 16th, 1961 Upon motion of Commissioner Reece, seconded by Commissioner Skelton, a n, Order Establishing Proceedure for City Officers Election, was duly adopted, by unanimous vote of all present, and said order was ordered filed in the File o6 Ordinances, under the date of Feb. 16th, 1961 m Upon motion of Commissioner .Skelton, seconded by Commissioner Reece, an Order was approved, by unanimous vote of all present, approving an Order for City Officers Election, on April 4th, 1961, for the election of a Mayor and Two Commis-sioners and appointing J. C. Smith as Election Judge, and Mrs. V. D. Settle and Mrs. W. H. Field, and a copy of said Order was ordered to be placed in the File of Ordinances, as of Feb. 16th, 1961 Upon motion of Com. Skelton, seconded by Com. Reece, it was ordered that the 6th street light, which had been discontinued, be placed back in service and the T. P. & L. Co. be so advised.
