03.06.1958 Town Council MinutesThe 'down of Prosper. 17 The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Prosper met in Special Session, at the Prosper State Bank, Bldg., on Thursday, March 6th, 1958, with the following present; U.N.Clary, Mayor, Roy Skelton, Commissioner D.C.Reece, " The meeting was calleddo order by the Mayor, who stated that the first order of business was the consideration of the Ordi- nance asked by the S.N. Bell Tel. Co. Mr. Jim Saunders, of the McKinney Office, was present and explained the purpose of the Ordinance. The Ordtnance was in short as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PSSED BY THE COMMISIW ON MARCH 18,1955,PRESCRIBING RATES AND CHARGES FOR TELEHONE SERVICE, and it provided Cates as folliws. For two-party service, $ 3.75, aaddeleting_Four-party service. Upon motion of Con. Roy Skelton, seconded by Como DC -Reece, the Ordinance was passed by unanimous vote of all present, the motion providing that tke a copy of the said ordinane be made a part ofthe minutes of -this meeting, and that one be filed in File of Ordinances, under date of March 6th, 1958. Upon motion of Com. Roy Skelton, seconded by Com. D.C.Reece, the following Ordinance was passed, by unanimous vote of all present; An Ordinance authorizing the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Prosper, acting for and in behalf of said Town to enter into all necessary agreements withe State Department of Public Welfare, relative to Federal Old -Age and Survivors„Insurance Benefits, under the -provisions of applicable State and Federal Laws, and authorizing the Mayor to execute all said necessary agreements and instruments for and on behalf of said Town of Prosper, and directing the mayor to make, all assessments, collections and reports. Further"directing that a copy of said Ordinance be made a part of the neat ix minutes of this meeting. Provided, further that all application forms be approvers by nttorney n.H.N eilson, of McKinney, before they are forwarded, and that a warrant for the amount of $ 20.00 be made payabl a to Mr. feilson. All warrants issued since the date of the last meeting were approved.
