03.20.1956a Town Council MinutesTown of Prosper. 1.1 The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Prosper met in called session at the Prosper State Bank, on Tuesday, March 20th, 1956, with the followin g present; U.N.Clary, Mayor. D.C.Reece, Commissioner Roy Skelton, Commissioner Absent, None, All unapproved warrants, issued simce the date of the last meeting, were duly approved. Commissioner Reece offereda Resolution, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of the minutes of this meeting, the meaning of which is to agree with Mr. Charles Robison, that in the construction of the Sewer System during 1955, one of the lines was moved to accommodate him, 'and he agreed to pay the Town the sum of $ 175.00, and in turn the Town of Prosper agrees to.collect for him half of that amount from any person who may in the.future connect with the Sewer, at any point on the line between his service and the former turn in thy. line. Said resolution by unanimous vote of all present. Contract mentioned in our minutes of June 22, 1955, with the State Hi.hway Department was reported as have been signed, and it was duly approved. Upon motion of Commissioner Roy Skelton, seconded, by Commissioner D.C.Reece, the amount of $ 411.32 was appropriated out of any funds _still on hand in the Sewer Construction Fund, to apply on the cost of the installation of a sewer line on Fifth Ave., according to plans now on hand, to be paid when line is completed. The Mayor was authorized to write a letter to all per- sons who had signed application .for sewer connections, and to state that the Commission= is considering the matter of making a charge for sewer and waterconnections. A copy of that letter to be filed in these minutes. tThe matter of the renewal of a contract with the Texas. Power & Li_ght Compas�y_,_ for street lights, and it was decided to obtain agreements from business men, if possible, for enough to pay the monthly charges. Mercury -Vapor lights to be installed.
