A called. mooting of tho Board of Cor.Lmissioners of the Tol°an of Prosper held_ at the office of the Tvayor, at n. 6' (..lock Thursday, June 21.st, 1923, t,r:ith the following prF,sent; U.N.Clary, W.J.Davis, who were a majority of the Urmissioner of the said Town of trosper and who constituted a quorum of -the said Board. Thr., minutes of -the last meeting were read and approved. Retuil-hs of an election held on April 3, 1923, .,[ere canvassed, and it appearing that U.N.Clary received 30 votes for L ayor, with no opposition, and the foll.oiprirg received totes as noted for Commissioner: W.J.Davis, 28 votes; J.D.Cra.nk, 14 votes; J.lV.Stanford, 15 votes; J..C.Holbrook, 4 votes; Goo. Cunningham, 1 votes; J.A.Hughes, 1 vote, U.N.Clary ,•ras doclared elected T-Fayor and W.J.Davis and J.T"J.Stanford, Commissioners. T'ir. J. W. Stanford was sworn in as Commissioner and his bond as some duly approved. Upon motion of T:r. Stanford, seconded by I'ayor U.N.Clary, Mr. W.J.Davis was elected. as Street Commissioner 16or the lenmhh of his term of office. The text of same to be. mntered upon these minutes -when same is finally passed. An ordinance granti-nrf a franchise to H.E.Blumberg, of Dallas, was introduced. by T,'ayor U.N.Clary. Said Franchise to cover the furnishi.nrr light, heat and power to the citizens of the To15m of Prosper. lifter detailed_ discussion the pas2ar;e of same Wad deferred until some future:ioeting kkx of the Commission. Upon motion of Commissioner W.J.Davis, seconded by Commissioner J.W.Stanford, I]ayor U.N.Clary was authorized to pay the sur, of $300.00 upon a no'.e of 5YM �1430.00 due to the Continental State Bank of Prosper, and to arrange for renowal of the balance of $130.00 until January 1, 1924, with the agreement that all three members of the Commission wre to sign said renewal. Authority 172,3 granted to the I'Tayor to pay the interest due on the said note., a-­)nunting to the sum of $7.15 ^,nd warrants were ordered issued. for the two above mentioned amounts. Expenses incurred since November 16, 1922, the date of the last regular meeting', of the Commission, and shown in detail on the stubs of the warrant book, as well as itpon the canceled. warrants themselves, rrere all approved.
