Prosper, Texas; November 16, 1922■
A called meeting of the Board of Commissioners
of'the Town of Prosper was held at the office of the
Mayor, at 21o'clock, P.M., Thursday, November 16,
1922, with the following Commissioners present,
J.D.Crank, W.J.Davis, U.N.C1ary.
The minutes of the last meeting were read
and approved.
Upon motion of Mr. Crank, seconded by
Mr. Davis, and-Ordinanee to regulate parking of ( present
vehicles mn the Streets of Prosper, was passed, B)f vote of all
a copy of said ordinance being made a part of these
minutes, page 76.
Upon motion of Mr. Crank, seconded by
Mr. Davis, the Board of Commissioners were au-
thorized and. empowered to execute a note for the
amount of $430.00, in favor of the Continental
State Bank of Prosper, for funds to finish paying
for' the street work, payment for lvhich was author-
ized at meeting held September 21st, 1922, note to
be -due on February 1, 1923, and to be paid out of
proceeds of collection of'current taxes.
Upon motion of �Ir. Crank, Mr. Davis
w^s elected Police Commissioner, and was author-
ized to see that all. Ordinances now in effect be
observed, especially that relating to parking of
vehicles, and that he be given general oversight of
all Police matters.
There being no further business to come
before the Commission the same adjourndd.

ORDINANCE NO.
Be it ordained bytthe Board of Commissioners of
the town of Prosper:
Section 1. That on that portion of Broadway Street
which has been paved from curb to curb
itshiLll be unlawful to park any motor
vehicle encept in the middle of said
street and at right angles to said Street.
On other portions of Broadway Street and
on other streets of the said town of Pros-
per motor vehicles shall be parked in such
a way as will least interfere with traffic.
Section 2.
That is shall be unlawful for horse-drawn
vehicles to be parked on above described
paved portion of Broadway Street except for

in no case to be for more than thirty minutes.
Section. 3. That it shall be unlawful for any driver
of any horse-drawn vehicle to leave said
vehicle with the team or teams hitched
thereto, unless he unfastens the traces or
hitches sn.id team to some secure post or
Ili -Loll rack.
Section 4.
Anyone violating the provisions of this Act
shall be: fined in any sum not more than

Section 5.

The fact that it is of great importance to
the public safety to provide control of
vehicle traffic on the streets and alleys
of the town of Prosper creates ant emergency
within the meaning of the law, and the law
requiring bills to be read three times is
hereby suspended, and this Act shall Make
effect from and after its passage.
