AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS, DISANNEXING
385. 60 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LYING AND SITUATED IN THE
L.C. SEARCY SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 816 OF COLLIN COUNTY,
TEXAS FROM THE CITY OF PROSPER; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY
OF PROSPER RELINQUISHES ANY AND ALL EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION IT MAY HAVE IN AND TO SAID TRACT OF LAND;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Prosper, Texas to
disannex the following described tract of land and to relinquish
any and all extraterritorial jurisdiction it may have in and to
said tract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS :
SECTION 1:
The 385. 60 acre tract of land, more or less, lying and being
situated in the L. C. Searcy Survey, Abstract No. 816, Collin
County, Texas, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes is hereby
disannexed and discontinued as a part of the City of Prosper,
Texas.
SECTION 2 :
The City of Prosper, Texas hereby relinquishes any and all
extraterritorial jurisdiction which it has or may have, and upon
passage of this Ordinance, the City of Prosper, Texas shall no
longer have or exercise any right, jurisdiction or control over
the above-described tract of land.

SECTION 3 :
The City Council of the City of Prosper, Texas finds that
the best interest and welfare of the general public of the City
of Prosper, Texas will be served by disannexing the tract of
land, and by the relinquishment of extraterritorial jurisdiction
of said tract, and this Ordinance should take effect immediately
from and after its passage as the law in such cases provides, and
it ;.s accordingly so ordained.
PASSED this 14th day of NOVEMBER 1989.

and being situated in the L. C. Searcy Survey, Abstract No.
816, Collin County, Texas, and being all of the 124.13 Acre
