RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS TO
PREPARE AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TEXAS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PROJECT FUND UNDER TITLE I OF THE HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED: FOR
THE WATER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IDENTIFIED BY THE CITY
FOR A GRANT APPLICATION; APPOINTING THE MAYOR AS THE
PERSON TO EXECUTE ALL GRANT RELATED DOCUMENTS ON THE
CITY' S BEHALF.
WHEREAS, the Federal Governemnt has made available grant funds
through the Texas Community Development Project Fund under Title
I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as
amended; and
410, WHEREAS, such grant funds may be used for a variety of
Community Development activities and purposes ; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to participate and make application
to said program for water improvements to benefit the City and its
•citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS,
ACTING BY AND THROUGH ITS CITY COUNCIL:
SECTION 1 . THAT, the City of Prosper prepare a Community
Development Project Fund application to be submitted to the Texas
Department of Community Affairs for such above-mentioned funds ;
and
SECTION 2 . THAT, the Mayor is appointed and authorized to
execute all grant application documents on behalf of the City in
41. conjunction with the City' s application for Community Development
Project Funds; and
SECTION 3 . THAT, the City authorizes the preperation of
said application for water improvements to benefit the City and
its citizens.

meeting of the City Council of the City of prosper, Texas .
