78-06 O - Ordinance Abandoning an Alley in Bryant's First Addition, Lot 17 Nre CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS, ORDINANCE NO. 7q'- AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AN ALLEY IN THE BRYANT'S FIRST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED EXCHANGING SUCH ALLEY FOR LOT 17 OF THE BRYANT' S FIRST ADDITION AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. THAT WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting the alley hereinafter described have petitioned the City Council of the City of Prosper, Texas, to abandon such alley; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Prosper, Texas, has determined that such alley is not now needed by the citizens of the City of Prosper, Texas, and that the same should be abandoned; and WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting the alley have agreed to trade an area of comparable size for abandonment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS: SECTION ONE: That the alley hereinafter described be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned for public use forever: SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, and being a part of Block 2 of BRYANT' S FIRST ADDITION, an addition to the City of Prosper, Texas, according to the filed plat recorded in Volume 116, Page 162 of the Map and Plat Records of Collin County, Texas, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 18, Block 2 of such addition; THENCE SOUTH a distance of 140 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 18; THENCE EAST 20 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 17; THENCE NORTH 140 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 17; THENCE WEST 20 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION TWO: That the Mayor of the City of Prosper, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized to execute a deed transferring such property to Affiliated Federal Credit Union in exchange for Lot 17 of such addition. r . � s APPI SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and it is so ordered.
