PETITION TO ANNEX LAND WHICH IS CONTIGUOUS AND
ADJACENT TO THE INCORPORATED CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS

TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY, OF THE
INCORPORATED CITY OF PROSPER, TEXAS:
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That PROSPER STATE
BANK, the owner of approximately 3.934 acres of land on the west side of
the following described tract of land, and TEXMO CORPORATION, the owner •
of approximately 12.234 acres of land on the east side of the following describ-
ed tract of land, to wit:
THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND SITUATED in Collin County, Texas,
a part of the Collin County School Land Survey, Abstract No. 147, and
being 16. 168 acres out of the south portion of a 27 acre tract as de-
scribed in a deed from The Lincoln Insurance Co. to W. D. TERRELL,
dated May 27, 1937, and recorded in Volume 310, page 550, of the
Collin County Deed Records, and the said 16. 168 acres being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake in the S.W, corner of the said 27 acre
tract at the intersection of two county roads,
THENCE N 0 deg. 51 mine W with the center line of the said road
along the west line of the said tract a distance of 831.9 ft. to an iron
stake in the south R. O.W. of F. M. Hi-wy No. 1193.
THENCE in an easterly direction with the south R. O.W. line of the
said Hi-wy as follows:
N. 88 deg. 48 min. E, 17.0 ft. a Wood R. O.W. Marker;
N. 44 deg. 43 min. E, 42. 6 ft. a Wood R. O.W. Marker;
N. 88 deg. 48 min. E, 685. 3 ft. a Wood R. O.W. Marker;
S. 79 deg. 54 min. E, 102. 0 ft. a Wood R. O.W. Marker;
N. 88 deg. 48 min. E, 134. 3 ft.to a Wood R. O.W. Marker
in the east line of the said 27 acre tract.

of 86. 0 ft. to an iron stake in the west R. O.W. line of the relocated
S.H. 289.
THENCE in a southerly direction with the west R. O.W. line of the said
Hi-wy as follows:

November 3, 1965, from W. D. TERRELL and wife, ALMA
LUSK TERRELL, to-CHARLES J. WINIIKATES, and filed for
• record on the 5th day of November 1965, with the County Clerk
of Collin County, Texas, and recorded on the 11th day of
November, 1965, in the Deed Records of Collin County, Texas,
in Volume 663, page 551.
DO HEREBY PETITION the Honorable City Council, the governing body, of
the incorporated City of Prosper, Texas, to annex the foregoing described
real property to the City of Prosper, Texas, because such real property is
within one-half (I/2) mile of the present boundary of the incorporated City of
Prosper, Texas, and is contiguous and adjacent land and territory to the
incorporated City of Prosper, Texas, and is located entirely within Collin
County, Texas, and because all of the prerequisites required by law which
authorize such annexation now exist.
