The Town Commission of the Town of Prosper, Texas, convened
in regular session on the 25th day of May, 1944, with the following members ores-

ent, to-wit: U.N.Clary, Mayor, W.F.Field and Roy Skelton, Commissioners, and
C.W.Farper, Town Clerk, witht the following absent: None, constituting a quorum,
et which time the following, among other business, was transacted, to-wit:
Commissioners W.H.Field introduced a proposed Ordinance, which
was read in full, and Commissioner Roy Skekton made a motion that the rule re-
quiring ordinances be read at more than one meeting be suspended, which motion was
seconded by Commission W.H.Field, and was carried by the following vote: Ayes:
Commissioner W.H.Field and Commissioner Roy Skelton, and Mayor U.N.Clary. Noes:
None.
Commissioner W.H.Field made a motion that the ordinance be passed
finally, which motion was seconded by Commissioner Roy Skelton. The motion carried
by the following vote: Ayes: Commissioners W,H.Field and Roy Skelton and Mayor
U.N.Clary. Noes: None
The Mayor announced the ordinance had finally passed which ordi-
nance is as follows:
AN ORIDINANCE
FIXING RATES AND CHARGES FOR CONSUMPTION OF
WATER AFFORDED BY THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF
THE TCWN OF ROSPER, TEXAS.
Be it ordained by the Town Commission of the Town Of Prosper.
Texas:
1. That Paragrgbh 7, of Section2, of an Ordinanee Fixing
Rates and Charges for Consumption of Water Afforded by the Water Works System of
the Town of Prosper, Texas, and Providing For the Collection of Such Charges and for
the Disposition of Such Sums Collected, which said Ordinance was adopted by the
, '~Town Commiestbon of the Town of Prosper, Texas, on the 15th day of August, 1939,
and recorded. on Page 157 of the Minutes of the said Commission, be amended to read
as followet
Per laundry, for the first 12,000 gallons of less, a minimum of
$ S.OQ, and for each additional1,000 logs gal loss, 50
2. All ordinances of said Town in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
3. By reason of the fact that the Town Commission considers the
passage of this Ordinance necessary for the preservation of the public health
and asfety of the Town and its citizens, it is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure demanding that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at more than one
meeting of the Town Commissioners be suspended and that this ordinance take effect
immediately from and after its passage, and it is so ordered.
