Seventh Street, Prosper, Texas R Prosper Middle School - Library SPER Tuesday, July 3, 2007 6:00 p.m. 1. Call to Order / Roll Call. The meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m. Roll call was taken by the Development and Parks Planner. Commissioners present included: Chair Mark DeMattia, George Dupont, Reno Jones, and Secretary Ronni Gallup. Commissioners Vice -Chair Troy Brock, Marcus Ruark, and Jessica Arce were not present. Staff present included: Chris Copple, Development and Parks Planner. 2. Consider and act upon the appointment of a Chair, Vice -Chair, and Secretary of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Gallup was nominated for Secretary by DeMattia. Approved 4-0. Brock was nominated for Vice -Chair by DeMattia. Approved 4-0. • DeMattia was nominated for Chair by Dupont. Approved 4-0. 3. CONSENT AGENDA a. Consider and act upon minutes from the following Planning & Zoning Commission meetings: • June 19, 2007 Regular Meeting Motioned by Dupont, seconded by Jones to approve item a. Motion approved 4-0. b. Consider and act upon a final plat of Richter Addition, being two lots on 10.0t acres located on the north side of First Street, 1,000± feet west of Dallas Parkway. The property is located in the Town's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). (D07-18). Pulled by Copple to request that the Commission approve the plat subject to additions and/or alterations by the Town Engineer. Motioned to approve the plat subject to additions and/or alterations by the Town Engineer by DeMattia, seconded by Gallup to approve item b. Motion approved 4-0. REGULAR AGENDA 4. A public hearing to consider and act upon a request to rezone 24.3f acres, located on the southeast corner of Dallas Parkway and First Street, from Single Family-15 (SF-15) and Agricultural (A) to Commercial Corridor (CC). (Z07-13). Copple reviewed the zoning request with the Commission. is Motioned by Gallup, seconded by Dupont to open the public hearing. Motion approved 4-0. Page 1 of 2 Scott Norris, representing Tomlin properties, spoke in favor of the zoning request. • Brenda Browning, applicant, spoke in favor of the zoning request. is Motioned by Jones, seconded by Gallup to close the public hearing. Motion approved 4-0. Motioned by Dupont, seconded by Gallup to approve the zoning request. Motion approved 4-0. 5. Possibly direct Town Staff to schedule topic(s) for discussion at a future meeting. The Commission asked staff to place an item on the August 7, 2007 agenda to discuss options for thoroughfare screening. 6. Adjourn. Motioned by Dupont, seconded by Gallup to adjourn.
