Consider and act upon the minutes of the March 12, 2026, Parks and Recreation
Board Meeting.
Motion to approve the minutes made by Secretary Castro, seconded by Board Member
Rodriguez. Motion approved 5-0.
Citizens Comments.
No citizen comments.
Consider and act upon a Park Facility Agreement for Legacy Gardens.
Director Dan Baker presented on the park facility agreement for Legacy Gardens.
Discussion was held.
Motion to approve staff recommendations on the park facility agreement for Legacy
Gardens made by Board Member LaFerney, seconded by Secretary Castro. Motion
approved 5-0.
Consider and act upon a Park Facility Agreement for Wandering Creek.
This item was brought forward in error. The Wandering Creek park facility agreement
was approved by council
Director Dan Baker provided on the status of Wandering Creek.
Consider and act upon a Park Facility Agreement for Mirabella.
Director Dan Baker presented the park facility agreement for Mirabella.
Discussion was held.

Motion to deny the park facility agreement for Mirabell made by Board Member
LaFerney, seconded by Board Member Horan. Motion approved 5-0.
7. Discuss and consider the May 2026 Park and Recreation Board meeting date.
Discussion was held.
A motion was made to move the May 2026 Park and Recreation Board date from
Thursday, May 14, 2026, to Wednesday, May 13, 2026, by Secretary Castro, Seconded
by Board Member Rodriguez. Motion approved 5-0.
8. Receive staff updates: Recreation, Park Development, Park Operations, and
Director.
Director Dan Baker shared recreation updates:
Summer Registration:
Summer program registration opens April 611
P-Town Throwdown:
The pickleball event was hosted on March 28 and featured 32 teams competing across
three categories: Recreation, Competitive, and 55+. Participants expressed excitement
and enthusiasm throughout the event at Raymond Community Park.
Parks Superintendent Matt Furr presented on park operations, including an overview of
the topdressing at Raymond Park.
Baker presented the upcoming calendar of events. Volunteers are needed for an
America 250 video that will provide an overview of Theodore Roosevelt and the National
Parks. Prosper Independent School District hosted Art in the Park on April 9.
9. Request for future agenda items.
Secretary Castro requested park development agreement information be send out prior
to the meeting.
10. Adjourn.
Motion to adjourn by Secretary Castro, seconded by Board Member Rodriguez.
