Consider and Act Upon the minutes of the January 21, 2026, Mayor's Youth Advisory Council Meeting (JH) Jonathan Jones made a motion and Emory Crownover seconded the motion to approve the January 21, 2026 MYAC minutes. The motion was approved unanimously. 3. Hot Topics with Mayor Bristol. (DB) Mayor Pro Tem Amy Bartley attended in Mayor Bristol's absence. She presented the Mayor's Challenge question of what public sector job each student would like to shadow. The council had various answers ranging from finance and engineering to Page 1 of 2 fire marshal and town manager. Mayor Pro Tern Bartley then gave overviews of the Mayor's Fitness Challenge that would kick off on March 1 and the P-Town Throwdown Pickleball Tournament happening March 28. Lastly, Mayor Pro Tern Bartley presented a Responsibility of Citizenship Challenge where she posed the question of "if you want to change something, how do you do that?" Mr. Hart suggested reaching out to a Council Member. Mr. Jones suggested social media. Mr. Gaddad commented on how it is difficult to make everyone happy but it is important to be fiscally responsible. Mayor Pro Tern Bartley closed with the potential for author Steven Collis to come and speak about his book for the youth council and the Prosper Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals group. 4. MYAC Hot Topics (JH) Mr. Hart updated that a booths has been secured at schools to push for voter registration. 5. Prosper Super Stars (TH) Mr. Helton gave a brief overview of the Parks and Recreation Department and the current available programs. He then gave an overview of the Prosper Super Stars which is a special group that includes Prosper families who have children with special needs. Parks & Recreation hosts programs to empower this group through recreational activities and social engagement. Superstars are assured of a supportive and welcoming environment where participants can engage in fun, fulfilling, and skill - building activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Mr. Helton told the council that there are many volunteer opportunities with the program and would love to welcome in MYAC members. 6. MYAC Subcommittees (JH) Mr. Hart shared that everyone should be in their assigned subcommittee and that the list has been shared with the group and staff. 7. Requests for Future Agenda Items (JH) The Council did not have agenda requests at this time and was reminded of the upcoming Ice Cream Social with other youth councils. 8. Tour of Central Fire Station (MP) Battalion Chief Graham gave a tour of Central Fire Station and answered questions over fire rescue service in Prosper. 9.
