Call to Order / Roll Call (JH) The meeting was called to order at 5:36 p.m. MYAC Members Present: Abigail Ryan Aditi Aggarwal Ashley Church Aubrey Beaird Ava Tran Benjamin Hopes Emory Crownover Jonathan Jones, Vice Chair Joshua Hart, Chair Juwairiah Athar Krishitha Pingeli Om Gaddad Riley Casper Yara AI-Daggistany MYAC Members Absent: Arjun Venkatakrishnan Molly Curtis Rhian Price Ridge Casanova Sai Aaradhya Vanaparthy Samiksha Menaka Shivani Sankar Shreshta Gangadi Shriya Kaliyam Councilmembers Present: Mayor David Bristol MINUTES Mayor's Youth Advisory Council Prosper Town Hall, Council Chambers 250 W First Street, Prosper, Texas Wednesday, December 3, 2025 Staff Members Present: Myrisa Petty, Community Engagement Coordinator 2. Hot Topics with Mayor Bristol. (DB) Mayor Bristol welcomed the council and received a rundown of the previous meeting regarding the bond election and state constitution amendments. He offered a brief review of the a -bike ordinance and announced the dates for the upcoming registration events hosted by the Prosper Police Department. The council suggested working with the school district to include in the morning announcements as well as having signage near the middle schools as ways to get the word out. Mayor Bristol also spoke of the upcoming annual Christmas Festival and asked the council if they had heard about it and what the best ways to reach them would be regarding these types of events. The Page 1 of 3 council mentions Instagram being the best way to reach them. Lastly, Mayor Bristol let the council know that the annual Red Kettle Challenge will take place again this year with the website for the digital fundraiser being shared. 3. MYAC Hot Topics (JH) Mayor Bristol opened the floor for the council to present any hot topics of their own. Ms. Church mentioned some changes to the parking lots at the high schools and the worry of bottle necking for those who are taking dual credit classes. 4. Nonprofit Profile: Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors. (RD) Robert Daleo, Executive Director from Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, presents an overview of the nonprofit to the council as well as volunteer opportunities available. 5. Consider and Act Upon the minutes of the November 19, 2025, Mayor's Youth Advisory Council Meeting (JH) Yara AI-Daggistany made a motion and Benjamin Hopes seconded the motion to approve the November 19, 2025 MYAC minutes. The motion was approved unanimously. 6. Discussion regarding collaborative engagement activities between the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council and the Community Engagement Committee. The Community Engagement Committee joins the MYAC to talk about engagement opportunities and opinions of how to best reach the youth of Prosper. Mayor Pro Tern Bartley asks for best ways to promote new events. The council suggests Facebook and Instagram with flashy videos and graphics. They mentioned that while most of them do not utilize Facebook, their parents do so it is still a good way to reach the youth. They also suggested cross -posting with the school district if possible. Ms. Bunger asked what kind of events the council would like to see and what would keep them in Prosper rather than going to other cities for entertainment. Mr. Hopes suggested more live music events and featuring local bands. Mr. Hart spoke of having a space for the youth to come together that isn't school or home. Viewing parties were mentioned multiple times by the youth council as a space for the youth to come together in Prosper. Mr. Rice asked what timing the youth council feels is best for event promotion. Ms. Tran mentions that announcing the event about three weeks prior and ramping up the promotion the week of as the best for any youth who potentially have jobs. Mr. Gaddad agrees that the week of is a good sweet spot for youth to plan ahead for the event. 7. Discuss MYAC Subcommittee Formations (JH) Mr. Hart gave an overview of the subcommittees that the MYAC Class of 2025 had. He posed if this class would like to do the same and the council unanimously agreed they would like to move forward with subcommittee formations again. Mr. Hart and Mr. Jones presented ideas for potential new committees such as events for those with special needs. Mr. Hopes suggested a financial subcommittee to explore options for grants to fund MYAC initiatives. Mr. Hart will compile the information and present at the next meeting. Page 2 of 3 8. Requests for Future Agenda Items (MP) The Council requested the following for the January meeting while also welcoming Ted Benavides of University of Texas at Dallas. • Follow up on voter registration initiative • Update on Subcommittees • T-Shirt Design 9.
