RESOLUTION NO. 2026-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PROSPER,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE WIRELESS ACCESS
POINT REPLACEMENT PROJECT FUNDED THROUGH THE 2026 STATE &
LOCAL CYBERSECURITY GRANT PROGRAM; MAKING FINDINGS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Prosper finds it in the best interest of the citizens of the Town of
Prosper ("Town"), that the Wireless Access Point Replacement Project be operated for the 2026
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Town agrees to provide applicable matching funds for the said project as
required by the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program grant application; and
WHEREAS, the Town agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Office of the
Governor funds, the Town assures that the funds will be returned to the Office of the Governor in
full; and
WHEREAS, the Town designates Colin Ashby as the grantee's authorized official and he
is granted the authority to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the
Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
PROSPER, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
All of the above premises are hereby found to be true and correct legislative and factual
findings of the Town of Prosper and they are hereby approved and incorporated into the body of
this Resolution as if copied in their entirety.
SECTION 2
The Town hereby approves the submission of the grant application for the Wireless
Access Point Replacement Project to the Office of the Governor.
SECTION 3
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
PROSPER, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 13T" DAY OF JANUARY, 2026.
