The Prosper City Council met in regular session, Tuesday,
iovember 10, 1961 in the city office with four members present
and one absent.
The mayor opened the meeting and called for a reading of the
minutes. They were approved as read.
The financial reports for October were reviewed and accepted.
Well update: Bond funding to go before the Texas Water Devel-
opment Board November V, 1961 without any foreseen opposition.
Possible close out the middle of December.
Motion by Cecil Norris, second,Danny Webb, that the city have
attorney William Ambler do the closing transactions,an the
purchase of the Dodson Well. Passed unanimously.
Motion by Dan Christie, second, Cecil Norris to pass the Property
Tax Ordinance #61-9. Passed unanimously.
Motion by Danny Welk, second Cecil Norris, appointing the
City Secretary as the Tax Collector. Passed unanimously.
iJiotion by Dan Christie, second Cecil Norris, to allot the
cities' three votes on the Collin County Appraisal Hoard to ' 1
Ernest Chesney Jr.. Passed unanimously.
After discussion the mayor asked Danny Webb and Dan Christie
to investigate solutions to ambulance service for Prosper.
Motion by Dan Christie, second Cecil Norris to have Leon Ussery
do the annual audit for 60-61. Passed unanimously.
A decision on repair of the ground tank was postponed until nest
spring.
Motion by Danny Webb, second Cecil Norris to buy three loads
of rock to repair Fifth Street leading to the Prosper Co-op -a
Gin. Passed unanimously.
Motion by Cecil Norris, second John Cockrell to install a
guard light by the Post Office. Passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned.
