The Prosper City Council met in regular session, Tuesday
September 6, 1961 at 7:39 P. M. in the city office with all
members present.
The mayor called the meeting to order and asked for a
reading of the minutes. They were approved.
The financial reports for August were reviewed and accepted.
Motion by Dan Christie to award 6h.-rd'41iat to Star Cable T.V. , J.,
bringing cable T. V. to Prosper. µ,tanley Webb and passed.
Ordinance #61-6 was signed by the m°�,yor and secretary.
The Mayor reported that the Purchase Contract for the
David L. Dodson and Rita Dodson Water Well and Water System
had been signed by all parties.
Motion by Danny Webb that Prosper join into the T. M. L.
Rate Case against Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. at a cost_j�j.
of 3.5� per capita (675). or $23.63. Second Cecil Norris
and passed.
Motion by Dan Christie that the city invest the Water and
Sewer Reserve Fund in money market certificates. Second,
Cecil Norris and passed.
Motion by Dan Christie to transfer $4500.00 from Meter Deposit
Savings Account to General Fund, to be paid back in three years.
at $125.00 a month. Second Cecil Norris and passed.
Motion by Danny Webb to charge off as Bad Debts the $5500.00
payable to the General Fund by the water works. Second, Dan
Christie and passed.
Zoning Commission reappointments were tabled until October.
Motion by Dan Christie that the Water and Sewer Department 9 ��
purchase a cast-iron cutter for $200.00. Second, Danny Webb
and passed.
The meeting was adjourned.
