The Prosper City Council met in regular session Tuesday
June 14, 1963 at 7:30 P. M. Councilmen present were: John Christie, Danny
Webb, Cecil Norris and Doyce Stanton. Visitors: Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Glover, James Duvall, Mattie Bridges, Steve Bell, Pat Jones,
Fred Wilson and David Barnes.
Mayor John Cockrell called the meeting to order and asked
for a reading of the minutes. They were approved as read.
Financial reports for May were reviewed.

After having been published in a local newspaper, Ordinance u„
#83-1, Subdivision Ordinance, was again voted on and passed.
Hospitalization Insurance for employees was discussed
and the Mayor will report back more fully next month.
Purchase of a weed -eater was tabled until the July meeting,
The mayor reported that city secretary Loretta Lewallen,
may resign and if so he has a prospett, Becky Evans. A special
meeting will be held if it is necessary to hire a new secretary.
John Christie submitted the Zoning Platt for Sixth Street
to be developed by Houser Investments and Developers. John
Cockrell cited the need for Deed Restrictlions to be included
on the number of duplexes to be built. A special meeting
will be held after John Christie talks with Bob Houser.
Frank Glover addressed the council concerning Associated
Industries on Broadway Street, as an eyesore and a possible
health hazaard. David Barnes, owner, said he would stop
sand blasting immediately at that location and would clean
up the junk around the shop. The mayor expressed the cities
appreciation for David's cooperation.
Motion to adjourn, Cecil Norris. Second, John Christie.
