Council how the GI works. He presented a sample contract
for obtaining their services and what the City might expect in
return. The contract was reviewed and the base fee was discussed.

The Institute requested a retainer fee of $7,000.00 regardless
of funding. However, if grant funds are denied, the deposit
will be refunded. If the application if funded, no money from
the grant funds may be used for the payment of the Institute's
services. The Council felt several questions needed to be
clear in their minds before commiting $7,000.00.

Personnel: Doyce Stanton made a motion to approve a salary
increase f`"or Robert Shacklef ord of $100.00 per month. Cecil
Norris seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Doyce Stanton then made a motion to raise the fees for building
permits from $10.00 per prmt to $25.00 per permit. Johnny
Johnson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
