Tuesday, September 19, 2000 7:00 p.m.
Those Present: Mayor Coffman, Jim Dunmire. Larry Tracey, Charles Niswanger,
Michael Perry, and Janet Phillips.
Call to order: Mayor CoMnan called the meeting to order.
Budget Hearing: No comments from audience.
Action on anvroval of CityBud or 2000 2001: Motion by Jim Dunmire and
get f --
seconded by Larry Tracey to approve budget. Michael Perry abstained from voting.
Motion carried.
Action on adoption of Resolution No. 00-24 to lower Dovulation to become a Home
Rule. Citv: Motion by Charles Niswanger and seconded by Janet Phillips to approve
the Resolution. Motion carried.
Discussion and action on final oavinent and closeout of Stritmatter well: Motion by
Michael Perry and seconded by Charles Niswanger to call Alan Stritmatter and offer
a full and final payment of $32,867.17 for the water well. The $32,867.17 is the
balance on the project after deductions recommended by City Engineer. The motor
from the well may be returned to Stritmatter once repaired, if requested. Motion
carried.
Bob Jameson -Discussion on Sub Division:
Requests:
100 half -acre lots and 50-65 1 -acre lots
Price range: $300,000 to $600,000
Developer to build City Park with 2 ball fields, hike and bike trails and parking
Half -acre lots to be 100-150 feet wide
Houses to be 2500 to 2800 sq. ft. — one story on half -acre lots
Aerobic septic systems on acre lots, city sewer on half acre lots
Motion by Larry Tracey and seconded by Janet Phillips to approve the above general
development standards. Motion carried.
Work Session with Don Cardwell, Stewart Jackson and Wayne Yarbroughon
drainage, utility issues and road impro)&tpent_: The council met with Mr. Cardwell,
Mr. Jackson and Mr. Yarbrough in discussion on several issues. Jim Dunmire
brought the council up to date on the issues and easements needed across Yarbrough
property. No action was taken.
Adiourn: Motion by Jim Dunmire and seconded by Larry Tracey to adjourn. Motion
carried.
