Tuesday, January 30, 20017:00 p.m.
Those Present: Jim Dunmire, Charles Niswanger, Larry Tracey and Michael
Perry. Stephen Coffman and Janet Phillips were absent.
Call to order: Mayor Pro -Tem, Jim Dunmire, called the meeting to order.
Discussion and Action on, striDina W. Broadwav Street: Motion by Larry
Tracey and seconded by Charles Niswanger to approve bid for Stripe -A -Zone
for $1302.00. Motion carried.
Action on Purchase of Police car and housinq: Motion by Larry Tracey and
seconded by Charles Niswanger to purchase a police car from the City of
Frisco for $5000.00 and to enter into a lease agreement with Glen Polk for
the rental of old Post Office Building for $700.00 per month for a two year
lease term with the option of renewal at the end of the lease. City attorney
to draw up lease agreement. The lease agreement will be effective 3-01-01.
Motion carried.
Ad -ion on Purchase of automatic chlorine system for sewer Plant: Motion by
Charles Niswanger and seconded by Larry Tracey to approve the purchase of
chlorine system and installation of the system at the lowest bid price
received. Motion carried.
Action on approval Of purchase of rescue tool for Fire Department: Motion by
Larry Tracey and seconded by Charles Niswanger to approve purchase of the
Rescue Tool. Motion carried.
Stuart Jackson — Action on awroval of Preliminary Plat for Northridae
Addition: Christopher Jackson was present and presented the amended
Preliminary Plat for Northridge Addition. The lots along the North side of
Meadow Run Drive are proposed at 75' wide. Remaining lots are at least
80'+ wide. There are a total of 108 lots.
Voting on the approval of the amended Preliminary Plat was tabled until the
February 13, 2001 council meeting for City Engineer Travis Roberts to review.

Lee Lawrence — Discussion on pfoDertv located next door to HODe Lumber:
Mr. Lawrence was present and brought the council up to date on the situation
with Hope Lumber and the lot East of the Rail Road track (Mr. Dozier's
property). Hope Lumber has not met the employee requirements in relation
to the grant requirement. If additional employees are not hired within the
next 8 months, the City of Prosper will have to repay approximately
$200,000.00. Hope Lumber does not intend to hire any additional employees
until Dozier's property is completely cleaned off. Charles Niswanger was
appointed to contact Mr. Dozier in regards to this issue. Lee Lawrence will
contact Mr. Bass with Hope Lumber to update him on the situation.
Emerqencv discussion on Water issues for Surnmer 2001: Mayor Pro -Tem
Jim Dunmire called an emergency discussion for water issues that will affect
the Town of Prosper in the upcoming summer months. City Engineer Travis
Roberts was present and had two (2) new water wells specked to go out for
bids. The Council is in agreement on drilling three (3) new water wells and
two (2) ground storage tanks. The three wells and two 500,000 -gallon
storage tanks will cost a maximum of $200,000.00 each. Mr. Roberts has
spoke property owners on three potential sites. The City will have to secure
one location from a property owner for two of the wells. One well will be
built at the Town site on East First Street.
This will be put to a vote at the February 6, 2001 council meeting.
Mr. Roberts and Bill Little brought the council up to date on the Stritmatter
well and the new well at the CR 78 site. Myers will begin the new well
immediately with a July 14, 2001 completion date.
No action was taken.
