09.09.2003 Town Council Minutes Work SessionMinutes (approved 10/14/03) Work Session of the Prosper Town Council 601 South Church Street Prosper First Baptist Church Children's Building (South Wing) Tuesday, September 9, 2003, 6:45pm 1. Call to Order / Roll Call Mayor Niswanger called the meeting to order at 6:56 pm. Roll call was taken by the Town Accounting Clerk. Council Members present: Mayor Charles Niswanger, Mayor Pro -Tem Michael Perry, Russell Kaker, Karie Dalton, Lisa Dritschler and Ane Casady. Also present: Town Accounting Clerk Kelly Reed and Interim Tow.- Administrator Doug Mousel. 2. Review and discuss items posted on the September 9, 2003 Regular Council Agenda No discussion. 3. Review and discuss August 2003 Activity Reports for the following departments and committees: I . Police Department (packet item #24) Ane Casady asked for clarification on the status report regarding the police department being contacted by Prosper Independent School District to work at this seasons football games. Police Chief Kirk McFarlin stated that at the time the status report was submitted, the police department had not been contacted. However, since that time PISD had formally asked for their services. Fire Department (packet item #25) Fire Chief Ronnie McFarlin stated that the Prosper Independent School District has asked for an ambulance to be in service at this seasons football games. He said the standard charge for that service is $250 per night. PIED asked if that charge could be waived. Council discussed possibly coming to an agreement with PISD to adjust those fees in the future. C. Planning Department (packet item #26) Lisa Dritschler asked Doug Mousel what time the Master Plan Review was scheduled for. He stated it was scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 7:00 pm. He also stated that the final draft of the Master Plan should be available for review by the September 16,h Town Council Meeting. d. Prosper E.D.C. (packet item #27) e. Parks & Recreation Committee (packet item #28) f. Public Works (packet item #29) Michael Perry asked Public Works Superintendent Bill Little if 8 water line issues in 1 months time should be considered high. Bill Little stated that it should actually be considered slightly low for this time of year. g. Inspections (packet item #30) h. Communications Committee (packet item #31) 4. A,d'ourn. Motioned by Russell Kaker and seconded by Ane Casady to adjourn the work session. Motion carried. Vote 5 to 0. Mayor Niswanger adjourned the meeting at 7:12 pm. Attest: .. .
