•The contractor is at approx. 60%
completion of repairs to the
retaining wall at the north end of
the pond.
•The replacement pump has been
installed and is fully functional.
The contractor is currently making
repairs to irrigation line breaks
that occurred during construction.
Sod will be installed in early
September.

Preserve Park
•Five bids were received on 07/18.
The lowest base bid was over
budget. Staff is working to bring
the project within budget.
•Next Steps:
•The Hines team will execute a
construction contract with the
General Contractor.
•Hines manages construction with
Prosper staff included as a partner.

Hays Park
• The stormwater drainage
improvements project is
100% complete.
Park Operations:
•Frontier Park – Dethatching sports fields and
verti-cutting.
•Dethatching and verti-cutting are both
techniques used in lawn and field maintenance to
improve the health and appearance of the turf.
•The results of verti-cutting the field.
•Thatch is a layer of dead grass, roots, and other
organic matter that accumulates between the soil
surface and the actively growing grass blades.
Park Operations:
•"Pulling cores" typically refers to a process called core
aeration. Core aeration is a common practice in turf
management and athletic field maintenance.
•Topdressing, also known as fertilizing, is an important
maintenance practice for baseball fields and other
sports turf surfaces. It involves applying a thin layer of
soil, sand, or a soil-sand mixture to the surface of the
field. This practice helps improve the playing surface by
addressing issues such as soil compaction, unevenness,
and nutrient deficiencies.
