Receive staff updates: Recreation, Park Development, Park Operations, and Director. Recreation: Christmas Festival •Prosper Christmas Festival •Over 6,000 event goers •Major attractions included: •Santa’s Workshop, Horse-drawn carriage •Kids Christmas Shoppe, Santa’s Selfie Station •Community Stage, Kids Zone with inflatables and games •Over 90 booth spaces Merry Christmas Prosper! Recreation: Fishing Derby •Prosper Fishing Derby •Saturday, February 18. 9:00 –11:00am •Frontier Pond •Stocking over 2,000 fish •Volunteering opportunities available Park Development: Pecan Grove Park The contractor has completed the installation of the erosion control devices, the tree protection device, and the staking for the hike and bike trail layout. Construction entrances have been placed. Park Development: Tanners Mill Park Basketball court and goals, park monument sign, and two backstops have been installed. Pavilion structure has been installed and the contractor continues with the installation of the masonry wrap for the pavilion column. Park Development: Star Meadow Park Playground equipment has been installed. The contractor has begun the installation of the pavilion. Some grading around the drop-inlet has been done. Park Operations: •Installed river rock in Town Hall landscape beds •In process of trimming trees •Soccer fields are in process of being prepped.
