View South Pouring Parking Lot Park Development: Raymond Community Park •GMP No. 2 package scheduled to go to Council for consideration on 05/14. •The baseball fields have been graded. The multi-use fields are taking shape. •Storm drainpipe and water lines will be installed next. •Once the parking lot is completed, let’s schedule a site tour for Park Board members. Progress – View Looking North Park Development: Frontier Park Frontier Pkwy Frontier Park •Staff recently installed new directional signage at 5 locations within the park. •These signs will help visitors find their way around the facility. Park Planning: Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan Project Update •The Survey is out, and we had 1,233 completed responses as of this morning. •8% of households have participated (typical is 3-5%) •Survey is open through May 19. •The Benchmarking outreach is currently underway. •Next Advisory Committee meeting to be scheduled for a date in June. •Downtown Prosper - Seasonal blooms have been added to the planters in Downtown Prosper. •Pecan Grove Park - Playground resurfacing has recently been added to several parks, including Pecan Grove Park. •Frontier Park - Parks Operations recently entered a contest for Best Fields of 2024. •The Ranch - New plants for the median replacements are being prepped at the Ranch. •New QR signs displayed at Frontier Park. •Irrigation: A 2-inch ball valve flange developed a crack, prompting the addition of a large box for containment. •The Parks Operations team repurposed infield clay for use at the Raymond Park fields, enhancing the clay depth. This adjustment aims to improve playing surface control on the new fields, particularly from a maintenance standpoint. Director: •Raymond Community Park - GMP #2 •Request for Council Approval - May 28 •Carrying forward a $1.2M Owner’s Contingency •Bid process utilized a Bid Alternate philosophy allowing Town to award additional items as the need for contingency funding lessens. •Council will select from list of unfunded items to spend available contingency dollars (approx. $2.5M) Director: Contingency Use •In the event that we have better than expected unforeseen cost impacts, the project team has value added scope items ready to add to the project.
