The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) was developed as a result of the increasingly complex role of public information in municipal government. TAMIO has over 1,000 communication professionals serving in municipal public information/public relations roles throughout the state. TAMIO actively seeks to: •Advance and promote the active cooperation and exchange of information and ideas among Texas cities •Provide professional development for public information and communications professionals who work in municipal government •Provide relations assistance where possible to municipalities and the Texas Municipal League (TML) •Promote recognition outside the organization for achievement in communication TAMIO Awards Best Social Media Campaign (Unplanned) – When Prosper was hit by a severe winter storm January/February 2023, an unplanned social media campaign was launched, utilizing various media outlets to provide timely and accurate information to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. Consent Agenda Agenda Item 2. Consider and act upon the minutes from the May 23, 2023, Town Council Regular meeting. (MLS) Agenda Item 3. Consider and act upon awarding CSP No. 2023-29-B to Pavecon Public Works, LP, related to construction services for Prosper Public Works Legacy Road: Star Meadow Drive to Parvin Road; and authorizing the Town Manager to execute a construction agreement for same. Consider and act upon approving the purchase of manhole rehabilitation services from Fuquay, Inc., through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative; and authorizing the Town Manager to execute documents for the same. Consider and act upon authorizing the Town Manager to execute an Amended Escrow Agreement between Responsive Education Solutions, and the Town of Prosper, Texas, related to the construction of an exit-only driveway onto Custer Road to serve the Founders Classical Academy of Prosper. Consider and act upon authorizing the Town Manager to execute a Professional Engineering Services Agreement between Garver, LLC., and the Town of Prosper, Texas, related to the design of the First Street (Coleman – Craig) project. Consider and act upon authorizing the Town Manager to execute a Development Agreement between Prosper Villages at Legacy LLC and the Town of Prosper, related to the Prosper Center Development, located on the west side of Mahard Parkway, south of Prairie Drive, specifically to allow for a limited-service hotel. Consider and act upon an ordinance to amend the Future Land Use Plan from Residential Low Density to Retail and Neighborhood Services, generally located on the east side of Preston Road, north of St. Peter Lane. (CA21-0001) (DS) Agenda Item 12. Consider and act upon whether to direct staff to submit a written notice of appeals on behalf of the Town Council to the Development Services Department, pursuant to Chapter 4, Section 1.5(C)(7) and 1.6(B)(7) of the Town’s Zoning Ordinance, regarding action taken by the Planning & Zoning Commission on any Preliminary Site Plans and Site Plans including PISD High School and Westside Development.(DS) Citizen Comments The public is invited to address the Council on any topic. However, the Council is unable to discuss or take action on any topic not listed on this agenda. Please complete a “Public Comment Request Form” and present it to the Town Secretary prior to the meeting. Please limit your comments to three minutes. If multiple individuals wish to speak on a topic, they may yield their three minutes to one individual appointed to speak on their behalf. All individuals yielding their time must be present at the meeting, and the appointed individual will be limited to a total of 15 minutes. Regular Agenda If you wish to address the Council, please fill out a “Public Comment Request Form” and present it to the Town Secretary, preferably before the meeting begins. Pursuant to Section 551.007 of the Texas Government Code, individuals wishing to address the Council for items listed as public hearings will be recognized when the public hearing is opened. For individuals wishing to speak on a non-public hearing item, they may either address the Council during the Citizen Comments portion of the meeting or when the item is considered by the Town Council. Agenda Item 13. Consider and act upon a Booking Agreement between the Town of Prosper and Coffey Global for event and entertainment services related to Freedom Fest 2023. (DB) •Town has received a draft of agreement to enter into sponsorship sales agreement with Kari Willis of Efactor •Draft forwarded to Town Attorney for review and comment •Plans are being discussed to market, seek sponsorships, and make application for the event. •VIP tickets will be the first to go on sale in the upcoming weeks followed later by general admission tickets •Discounted sponsorship opportunities to be offered to Downtown businesses •Coffey Anderson and Kari Willis to present to DBA June 20 •Town will work with Freedom Fest staff to optimize event site •Town will hold regular status meetings with Freedom Fest staff up to event date Agenda Item 14. Consider and act upon the award of a contract to Weatherproofing Services for the renovation of the Town Hall water feature and authorizing the Town Manager to execute documents for the same.
