1. Call to Order / Roll Call.
2. Administer Oath and issue Statement of Appointed Office to newly appointed commissioners.
3. Consider and act upon the appointment of a Vice-Chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission.
4. Training and Orientation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, including but not limited to the
following:
• Elements of Community Planning (Prosper’s environment, comprehensive planning, zoning,
subdivision platting and site plan review);
• Roles and R esponsibilities of P&Z Commissioners (relationship to staff and Council, pre- and post-
meeting conduct, meeting protocol and policies);
• Legal Issues (open meetings, conflicts of interest and personal liability).
5. Review and discuss the Comprehensive Plan, the Zoning Ordinance, and the Subdivision Ordinance.
6. Possibly direct Town Staff to schedule topic(s) for discussion at a future meeting.
7. Adjourn.
