1. Call to Order / Roll Call.

Regular Meeting of the
Library Board
Reynolds Middle School - Community Library
700 N. Coleman Road, Prosper, Texas
Thursday, November 17, 2016, 6:15 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 6:18 p.m. by Jenn Stice. Board members present Lucy
Towle, James Sanders, Bobbi Parry, Sharon Alderton, and Shannon Slade. Absent: Jeff
Webster.
PISD Liason: Melissa Surratt.
Staff Present: Leslie Scott, Library Director and Huon T. Webb, Jr., P.E. Executive
Director of Development and Community Services.
2. Consider and act upon approval of the minutes from the October 20, 2016, Library Board
meeting.
Motion to approve by Stice, second by Towle. Approved 6-0.
3. Comments by the Public.
Webb shared posters of the new Town Hall/Library facility and discussed goals and
progress of bidding process.
4. Report on Library Board update.
Board determined holidays will make it difficult to hold December meeting. Next meeting
will be January 2017.
5. Determine Library Board Chair, Vice -Chair, and Secretary positions.
Stice nominated Alderton for Chair position, second by Towle. Approved 5-0. Alderton
abstained from voting.
Stice nominated Parry for Vice -Chair position, second by Towle. Approved 5-0. Parry
abstained from voting.
Secretary position will be revisited in January.
6. Report from PISD District Librarian Melissa Surratt.
None.
7. Report from Library Director Leslie Scott.

Scott distributed October monthly report, Long Range Plan will be distributed at January's
meeting, and December events were shared.
8. Determine topics for review/discussion at future meetings.
Long Range Plan edits.
9. Informational Items.
Next meeting will be January 19, 2017.
10. Adjourn.
Motioned by Stice, second by Towle to adjourn. Approved 6-0. Meeting was adjourned
at 6:58 p.m.
