1. Call to Order / Roll Call.

Regular Meeting of the
Library Board
Reynolds Middle School - Community Library
700 N. Coleman Road, Prosper, Texas
Thursday, October 20, 2016, 6:15 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 6:16 p.m. by Jenn Stice. Board members included
Lucy Towle, Jeff Webster, James Sanders, Bobbi Parry and Jennifer Stice. Sharon
Alderton and Shannon Slade were absent.
PISD Liaison: Melissa Surratt was absent.
Staff present: Leslie Scott, Library Director.
2. Consider and act upon approval of the minutes from the September 15, 2016, Library
Board meeting.
Motion to approve by Stice, seconded by Parry. Approved 5-0.
3. Comments by the Public.
None.
4. Library Board discussion.
Board members wishing to volunteer at the Friends Book Sale on Saturday, November 5,
2016, completed Town paperwork and will contact Friends to sign up for a time. Board
workshop will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Council Chambers.
5. Report from Library Director Leslie Scott.
Hulon Webb will attend November's Board meeting to discuss library floor plans. Scott
encouraged volunteering at the Friends Book Sale. Scott asked Board to review library
policies and have feedback at next board meeting. Scott also invited Board members to
attend her annual Council presentation which will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016,
at the 6:00 p.m. Town Council meeting.
6. Determine topics for review/discussion at future meetings.
Determine new Chair, Vice -Chair, and Secretary.
7. Informational items.
None.

Motioned by Towle, seconded by Webster to adjourn. Approved 5-0. Meeting was
adjourned 6:44 p.m.
