Library Board
Reynolds Middle School - Community Library
700 N. Coleman Road, Prosper, Texas
Thursday, February 16, 2017, 6:15 p.m.
1. Call to Order / Roll Call.
The meeting was called to order at 6:17 p.m. by Chair, Sharon Alderton. Board members present:
Chair, Sharon Alderton, Vice -Chair, Bobbi Parry, Secretary, Jennifer Stice, Lucy Towle, James
Sanders and Jeff Webster. Absent: Shannon Slade.
PISD Liaison: Melissa Surratt was absent.
Staff present: Leslie Scott, Library Director.
2. Consider and act upon approval of the minutes from January 19, 2017, Library Board meeting.
Motion to approve by Webster, second by Parry. Approved 6-0.
3. Comments by the Public.
None.
4. Report on Library Board update.
Reviewed Prosper Community Library long range plan. Changes/additions suggested.
Reviewed Prosper Community Library Operating policies. Changes/additions suggested.
5. Report from PISD District Liaison Melissa Surratt.
None.
6. Report from Library Director Leslie Scott.
Scott distributed December 2016 monthly report.
7. Determine topics for review/discussion at future meetings.
Board to research and help determine hours of operation for new library.
Opening events for new library.
One Book, One Town.
Additions to long range plan and operating policies.
8. Informational Items.
Next meeting will be April 20, 2017.
9. Adjourn.
Motioned by Alderton, second by Stice to adjourn. Approved 6-0. Meeting was adjourned at 7:30
